S Music
The film is directed by Balaji Shaktivel, a 2 year gap after 'Kaadhal' caught the viewers' imagination. 'Kalloori' is produced by Shankar's S Pictures.
The function served a dual purpose. One was the release of the film's audio. The other was the launch of S Music. Not content with being in directing and producing, Shankar has now entered the audio field too.
Wanting to make this a unique function, Shankar hit upon inviting AR Rehman and Mani Ratnam. Parthiban phrased this well in her speech. Accordingly the S Music Company was inaugurated by Mani Ratnam and AR Rehman released the songs.
A.R.Rehman
The directors lavished praise on Shankar in their speeches. In an emotional speech, Bharatiraja expressed his desire to work as an assistant to Shankar at least in one film. That rather moved Shankar.
Mani Ratnam, who usually says next to nothing, actually broke his pattern of silence and spoke openly. "So many directors are gathered here. I have not seen such unity among directors anywhere else in the world," he said proudly.
The highlight of the festival was the request by Balu Mahendra to AR Rehman. Just like Rehamn had composed music to the national anthem, he should compose music also to the glory of Thamizhthaai. The hall resounded with the applause.
Shankar gave the vote of thanks and Balaji Sakthivel's speech ended the 'Kalloori' function on a colorful note.

The CEO of AVM productions said, "Shivaji will be dubbed in Hindi as the response for the film in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and other major cities outside south India has been overwhelming. It is expected that the superstar will dub in his own voice for the Hindi version also..."
However, Babu said that the length of the film will be reduced to two hours and forty five minutes from . "But as per the requirement, some scenes might be retained as in the original. Rajinikanth is now a universal star and language, as well as the age group, are not the barriers as far as he is concerned. Whether it is a Chinese, a Korean, or a Japanese fan, one can still enjoy his style and action..." Babu said.
Swanand Kirkire is penning the dialogues for the dubbed version. The dubbing work is expected to be completed within a week and the audio is expected to hit the stores soon. Its ARR in ROBO
Shankar's robo was making all the news since it was announced unofficially few day's back.
After knowing its sharukh in the lead all the speculation surrounded Music director.
AR Rahman shankar's favourite, earlier had some
misunderstanding with the hero and walked out of the actor's home production "OM SHANTHI OM" .so it was doubted wether it will be arr this time or not since robo is sharukh's home production once again
but in an interview to a tamil magazine[ananda vikatan] in 2001
the musical genius answered to a question like this:
What's the film you are working for now?
Answer: In Shankar's direction the film "Robot" is there. I do compose music for it. To whichever corner in the world I may happen to go for composing musical scores only Tamilnadu would have the status of being my motherland-home! I'm a staunch house-bird. It' all very well known to all.
it is clear now that shankar has no second thought's about music director ,and we are sure that he definetly wont take chances for his dream project . now hold on tight and get ready for a musical treat

VEYIL baggs 3 FILM FARE'S
s pictures veyil baggs 3 film fare awards
Best Director - Vasanthabalan
Best Film - Veyil
Best Lyric Writer - Na. Muthukumar,
Song: Veyiloodu vilayade
when asked about the award director shankar said:
As a director, I won three Filmfare awards so far. This is the first time that I got as producer that makes me even happier. Veyil was the first Tamil film got screening at Cannes Film Festival. This encouragement and support makes to producer more films.
Vasanta Balan who bagged the Best Director award for Tamil (Veyil) says, 'It is impossible for me to do one such film even after 10 years, if I don't get a producer like Shankar. I did never see one such producer in my career. A top class director encouraged a person like me who was giving continuous flops. Though he is one of the best directors in India, he just remained a producer and did not involve in any of the departments with regard to 'Veyil'. He totally trusted me and gave me complete independence while making the movie. The credit for the success of the film and bagging this award goes to Shankar alone.'
