SUN pictures to produce Endhiran

Director Shankar and Karunamoorthy of Ayngaran International has parted ways over the budget of over the budget of Endhiran movie which was originally pegged at Rs 120 crore. After the global economic crisis, the Kishore Lulla-owned Eros International which has a stake in Ayngaran International, wanted director Shankar to scale down the budget.

But Shankar was in no mood to reduce the budget, and according to industry sources sankar wanted to move out with his mega budget project. The latest we hear is that the Kalanithi Maran owned Sun Pictures had shown an interest in the project and discussions were held with the director.

Sources close to the deal say it is likely to be firmed up in the next couple of days. But there are rumours that it will not be easy for Shankar to move over to Sun Pictures, as Ayngaran is yet to give green signal, and the project is registered with them.

We hope that the problems get resolved soon and the team starts the film shooting as early as possible.
